Happy Birthday Matthew
This week saw the 30th birthday of my Brother, Big Den’s 3rd son, Matthew.
I don’t remember much about the day itself but I do have a very vivid memory of being in the Trade Winds pub on the night celebrating with my dad and his mates, enjoying a glass of coke and playing the fruit machine. I would have been almost 15.
I loved living on Castle Vale so much and am happy I still have Family there so I can pop back from time to time. Come to think of it, I can’t believe how soon after Matthew was born that we must have moved to Stockland Green and now I’m also realising that Luke must have been born when we were already living on Edgware Rd. Crazy how these little things we forget.
I recently flew to Birmingham and spent the night at my mom’s flat and the five of us, my mom and my 3 brothers, enjoyed a morning together talking about all the future holds.
It’s been a tough week for my Brothers I think, Birthdays, anniversaries, Xmas etc are all times to remember our loved ones we have lost. We also found out that the garden Big Den loved so much is to be taken back by the council so Elma Fud aka Mark did a great job at rehousing the fish and turtles.
Anyway, just another memory that I wanted to share on another early morning I remember my dad.
Matthew flies to Spain to see us next week. Can’t wait !
